These old bookends are wooden and the horses appear to be carved, though it is possible that they are early composition. They are a two-piece system wherein the horses are attached to the black back with screws. Over the years one has lost the filler that was over the screws.They show little wear and measure 7" tall x 6" wide x 2 1/4" deep. A must for horse collectors!
